Jovenir F. Bataican

- currently manages IdeasCentral, doing training, marketing consulting, and event management, covering such industries as manufacturing, retail, services, contact center, the academe, and industrial sales. He’s the 2014 President of the Philippine Society for Training & Development (PSTD)-Cebu, Inc., and the Program Chair of the 2013, 2014, and 2018 PMAP-Cebu Regional Conferences, the 2020 and 2021 all-virtual Regional Conference, and the 5th International Training & Development Summit (ITDS4) in January 2019. In 2014, he set the foundation for PSTD-Cebu’s Trainers Certification Program.

From 2011 to 2015, he was Head of Operations and Global HR Consultant of Lingo24, a language translation services based in the UK with operating hubs in Romania, Panama and the Philippines. As Head of Operations, he managed a team of ProjectManagers and Sales Executives. He was a former FM radio disc jockey and his first Tagalog screenplay was optioned by Star Cinema. He was also a former columnist of the regional paper SunStar Weekend.

At the height of the 2019 pandemic, he released Finding Mr. Eachts Arday, a Post Pandemic Leadership and People Management Handbook. In March of 2021, he released his fourth fiction novel, A Bucket Helmet and the Paper Gun War.

From 2021 to 2023, he served as the Committee Chair of Branding, Marketing and Communications of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) National and the Editor-in-Chief of the People Manager Magazine Online and its monthly live online program People Manager On-Cam. He created and hosted the first year of PMAP’s bi-monthly podcast People Watch. In 2023, he was recognized as one of the Outstanding Alumni of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).

He’s the Program Chair of PMAP National’s 62nd Annual Conference in October 2025, Unleash.

His latest book, Leadership in the Harsh Light of a Crisis is released in December 2025.
